DalinYebo Trading and Development is PCSMA’s exclusive and global selling agent for the SupraYield® technology as well as (via our dyKC Joint Venture) for the biobased chemicals.
Proserpine Mill was established in 1897 and the commissioning of the new A$35 million furfural plant started at the end of the 2009 crushing season (first production will be in 2010). The mill also produces up to 250,000 tpa of raw sugar, up to 50,000 tpa of molasses and up to 20,000 MWh of green electricity (In 2008 they crushed 1,728,014 t from 224 suppliers). The mill is a major employer in the region (±700 people). Harvesting is highly automated and their own ±180 km railway network removes about 65,000 truck movements per year off the roads.
Trading Network
We also have trading partners to service the USA, Europe, China and Japan.
The Academic Partner
Since 2002 we developed a successful relationship with the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) under the umbrella of an agreement for the “Collaboration Between The University Of Natal And International Furan Technology (Pty) Ltd To Undertake Research Into The Development And The Industrialisation Of Processes For The Manufacture Of Bio-Based Chemicals At The University”. UKZN Innovation (Pty) Ltd (UKZN Innovation), a wholly owned subsidiary of UKZN is expected to continue this relationship. UKZN Innovation was formed in 2006 to specifically pursue the commercialisation of intellectual property developed by the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), the largest contact university in Southern Africa. With this wealth of intellectual pursuit emanating from the University, UKZN Innovation is in the process of aligning its activity in the field of Renewable Sources of Energy and Chemicals with those of DalinYebo.
UKZN Innovation brings together the research leaders, researchers, technicians, administrators and postgraduate learners to commercially exploit intellectual property, bringing more innovations to the market, demanding professionalism in technology transfer and ensuring it is provided with the necessary financial, managerial and technical resources. UKZN Innovation is endowed with state-of-the-art infrastructure and laboratories spanning five campuses. The cutting edge research infrastructure, matched with leading minds forms the ideal response for the private sector intent on off-shoring its research and development requirements.
